tinyurl.com is great for just those huge URLs. Especially ones
for database-driven sites. Free too.
Do you know if the tinyurl will always manage to access? I have
occasionally trimmed a URL that I picked up using a search at a where
there is a question mark and have found that they don't work. Sometimes
an article is shown as a free article in the bibliography and when I
manually entered the URL off of a printed copy the same article requires
subscription. Right now I don't have one identified as a case in point.
